Kalidindi Hardik Varma makes his mark in the National School Open Chess Championship
West Godavari (AP) : Kalidindi Hardik Varma of West Godavari , Andhra Pradesh has got appreciation certificate from the India Book of Records (IBR) for participating in the National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) held in November 2019. The National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) 2019 was organised by the All India Chess Federation (AICF). Kalidindi Hardik Varma secured one out of nine points with 110th rank in the competition. The child, Kalidindi Hardik Varma, born on March 17, 2016 in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, won this chess competition at the tender age of three years and eight months only. The India Book of Records team confirmed the achievement on January 13, 2021 and issued the boy an appreciation certificate along with badge and the IBR kit for his future use and display.
