Mohali (Punjab): In the midst of the current 'Health Crisis', people should remain concerned about their health which will not only laid a foundation of a healthy society but also build a healthy nation at large. Zirakpur MLA N. K. Sharma expressed his viewpoint during the inauguration of Shri Guru Ramdas Charitable Diagnostic Center at Sodhi Complex, VIP Road, Zirakpur. 

On this occasion, he exhorted the people that in the present competitive and stressful era, people should maintain their health checks regularly so that these diseases do not take a formidable form in the advancing age.


During the occasion, the directors of the center, Parminder Singh Gill and Satnam Singh said that the objective of this initiative is to express our responsibility towards society. Tests will be done in the center at concessional rates so that health services will be available to the residents of Zirakpur at affordable rates. 

They informed that the ultrasound service is available in the center for just Rs 200. In addition X-ray, ECG, CT scan, MRI, all PET CT tests, cancer test, physiotherapy, and cardio test will be available at concessional rates. He assured the centre would expand its services for the residents of Derabassi and Lalru. Beneficiaries can avail of these services through helpline 01762-505174 and 7814653569.

IBR record holders make India proud once again

New Delhi : The India Book of Records (IBR) is again in the news for recognizing several top achievers in different fields. The record for performing the maximum number of push-ups (67) in one minute was set by Shaleni Banthia (49) of Delhi, while Dr. Edupuganti Padmaja Rani of Hyderabad made a record for receiving the maximum number of educational degrees (21) in Maths, Law, Telugu, Sanskrit, Jyothisham, Philosophy, Astrology,  Engineering, Vaastu, and Education from various UGC recognized universities. The record for inviting the maximum number of cultural teams (30) to perform on Guru Purnima was set by Anga Upendra Varma (34) of Vijayawada.
